Our hotel takes its name from the Prague’s world-famous doll-sized statue of the
Infant Jesus of Prague (Jezulátko), which is located near the hotel at the church of Our
Lady of Victory - a destination of many pilgrims from around the world.
The legend has it that a fisherman who lived at the historical building "U Jezulatka" (at the Infant Jesus of Prague) fell off his boat and nearly drowned in the Vltava river, but was miraculously saved near one of the pillars of the Charles Bridge after praying to the Infant Jesus of Prague. He then named the building "U Jezulatka" to glorify the miraculous statue of the Infant Jesus of Prague.
Even if you decide not to visit the site of the Infant Jesus of Prague, you will surely be enchanted by the fairy like atmosphere of Kampa Island and the Charles Bridge, which such men as Franz Kafka or the only Czech Noble Prize for Literature laureate Jaroslav Seifert did not leave without mentioning it in their finest pieces of writing.
